Default Need help, with seat cover install.

Decided to try and tackle my seat covers today. So far it's been okay except I hit a bump in the road. I can't really figure out how to remove the clips under the seat cushion. Can anyone who's done this before give me some input? I keep trying to move the tabs off the metal and pulling it but it's not working...(Also, is it okay if my seat cushion is this weird yellow color? lol)

Push the little tabs in on the left side and then lift it and slide the other side out. Use 2 flat nose screwdrivers or a chisel and lift the yellow tab while holding the tabs open.

Since you are tackling this a few days before I get started, did you car have seat heaters? If so, are they on top of the seat's padding or are they attached to the leather?

I kept trying to push the tabs out of the way, just couldn't move them all out of the way at the same time. I'll try this on thursday and hopefully I can get another set of hands to help me. Thanks.

No, I didn't have heated seats. Mine have side airbags but they don't have power or heating. You can go to leatherseats.com for a diy on how to do it on the 350z. Pulling them out is real easy. I just hate the clips Nissan put in the cars, they're annoying to deal with. (not so bad once you figure them out though)

It looks as if you may only need to get one side of the clips pushed in. That may give you enough space to bring the wire through.

THanks for the install link.

Turns out I just wasn't pushing down hard enough. I used a flat head to push the left side off the wire and then just pushed back on the yellow piece and it came off. Now onto the hog rings! lol.
