Question Shipping cost for seats?

Hi guys,

I've seen a couple of nice 350zs that have really worn leather or damaged cloth seats. Has anyone shipped seats within the US? I know it'd be expensive as I got a quote for shipping the seats in my Supra before I left the UK but I want to factor it in when buying the car.

Looking around I'm guessing between $350 - $450 for leather OEM seats?

Appreciate your help.

Rob

Do you already have OEM seats? If you do you could always just buy leather seat covers. Interior innovations has covers in that range and a bit lower depending on what options you get.

If not, you could always just look through craigslist and keep an eye out in your regional forum. Leather seats come up quite often and you'd be better off waiting for a local set instead of having to pay so much extra to get them shipped.

It cost me right under a $100 to ship a pair of OEM seats via Greyhound.

I haven't bought a car yet just factoring it in as most don't have leather or if they do it's badly worn.

$100! is so cheap! the quote I got when in the UK was almost as much as the seats around £300 ($450) I ended up driving about 280 miles in the supra to pick them up but it was still cheaper than shipping.

I'll keep greyhound in mind if I need to, thanks Tucker.

Keep in there's been a lot of people with bad experiences with greyhound. Not saying you shouldn't use it, but it really isn't the best service. There's been many cases where an item's been lost and never shows up. There's also no way to specifically track where the item is and the item is shipped at their convenience, so if their busses are full your package might not be sent right away. Again, I've used it and successfully had an item shipped, but the customer service is lacking.
