Default Roadster top problems

It's time to get the Z ready for spring.
Last year I started having problems with the top.
Putting the top down this is what happens:
Push the button and the back latch releases but the top doesn't move.
i can pull the top up slowly from the back to the upright position then
the deck lid will open and the front will start to come up and goes back 75% of the way and I have to help it the rest of the way until it's almost in then the motor takes over and finishes the proceedure.I have lube everything I could findwith white lithium grease.Has anyone else had this problem? if so what is the fix?Are the motors going bad or do the elastic pieces need replced?
Happy motoring
Warm weather is on the way.
Thanks

I'm just about to tackle my convertible problems. been doing a lot of reading on this site. Here are the things I found out that I will be looking for:
1) I know I need to rebuild my 5th bow motor.
2) I will be checking actuators that I can find to make sure the switches are working.
3) since mine is an '04, I am sure that replacing the elastic bands will be part of my run through.

Here are a few things to look at: page 11-25 here: http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/fi...t_top_info.pdf

elastic strap info here: https://my350z.com/forum/350z-roadst...-tutorial.html

and probably the most helpful if any of your 4 motors are going bad: https://my350z.com/forum/maintenance...th-photos.html

hope this helps
