Default Painted Wheels, Feedback?

So I just painted my wheels and was hoping to get some feedback on what my next step should be. I feel like something is a bit off on the Z. I am considering painting my emblems and door handles the same color, and maybe painting the calipers the burnt orange color of the brembos, other than that I am open to suggestions.

Thanks

You need spacers. Dont paint calipers bright color. They arent anything special.

^ +1 for spacers......

paint calipers black, add some springs to give it a nice drop and call it a day. Wheels do look nice!

Thanks, I am pretty happy with the color. I will check out some spacers and see what I can do. Springs maybe, I have been hoping to save up for coilovers for the AutoX, but I may bite the bullet and buy the hotchkis sway bar + lowering springs kit off of z1 for the time being.

Wheel color looks good. Definitely need spacers. I also agree with staying a dark color on the calipers.

I'm on Hotchkis springs and KYB shocks and honestly, for the driving I do they feel amazing. much stiffer than stock. I know the sways would make a huge difference as well.

Thanks, it is a daily however, so how much stiffer are we talking?

Anyone have a decent suggestion for what size spacers I should run? I am not a huge fan of the tires/wheel sticking out past the fenders. But I have already noticed that the fender is much further out than the wheels at the moment. Also any suggestions on a spacer brand?

Spacers to start, 25mm rear, 20mm front and you'll be nicely flush without needing to roll your fenders.

Calipers? I would still possibly paint them red...non-Brembo calipers still look good painted even though they're smaller...have seen a couple of them and they do look sporty and not silly. I wouldn't go any color other than red though, as the tail lights are red and they harmonize nicely with red calipers. A clean look.

Needs a rear spoiler.

I'd add a couple of classy decals, but only black and white color scheme so the car doesn't get overly busy looking, maybe an accent of red in the decal, but primarily black and white and simple.

Spacers would have to be first, and for springs...I'd go straight to Swift Spec-R's, nice drop, better ride quality, and they're not expensive.

Hope that helps,

Here's your spacer recommendation, they're very good and less expensive than others, I've run them before no problems whatsoever.

(note: I deleted the link...not sure what forum rules are...but if you go to amazon and search on "350z 25mm spacers" you'll see "Precision European Motorwerks" for $65....good to go)

These for your rears, then 20mm for your fronts...you'll be happy I'm sure.

They were on my wishlist before you deleted the link , but I will be sure and go for spacers first. Then I may check out painting the calipers next.

Stop, drop the can, take a step back. Leave the car be, when the z is cheaply modded, it's obvious.

its better to save and buy aftermarket wheels with correct spacing then it is to buys expensive spacers and put unnecessary wear on your wheel bearings for another 1inch your wheel with stick out.... that's my 2cents on that

Don't paint calipers a bright color..paint them black intil you get aftermarket calipers that are worth having stick out with a bright color...

I am pretty sure they are 225/30/R18 on the front and 255/25/R18 on the rear.

There was no can involved, they were painted in a paint booth, with a paint gun.....

I used Porsche LD7Z, I started flipping through the book and it caught my eye.

And just to clarify, the reason those tires are so small is because I bought the wheels and tires together for $500. And they were in rough cosmetic appearance, so I painted them. I still feel like they look better than the 17" wheels that come stock on my 2004 Touring

dont paint the calipers, leave them as they are... if you had baller brakes then show them off but why draw attention to something that is "meh" at best

If those are your tires, then you have the wrong sizes on. Sidewall size is way too small. That's why your wheelgap looks huge and your wheels look tiny even being 18's.

I think your paint color for the wheels looks great though!

Should be: Front : 225/45R18 91W, Rear : 245/45R18 96W

To compare - mine with stock sizes and stock height:
