Default Xenon headlight not working

so i bought a new bulb and it still didnt work when i replaced it, so then i started checking the fuses, i have no blown fuses, then i read the moisture could have messed up the ballast, so my gfs step dad took off the headlight and unclogged one of the hoses and the moisture is pretty much gone now but still does not work, is it possible the ballast is ruined and i need a new ballast or ignitor, or what?

i have the 06 touring with the Xenon lights, i cant remember which is which atm but its the one the hi/lo is the same bulb a d2s. its my driver side light, it went out before and we bought the light the next day but it started to work again so we returned it, and then it went out again last night so i went back and got it today but it doesnt seem like the bulb is the problem, someone help, do i need the ballast, ignitor, or the whole headlight?

Swap bulbs side to side, check function.
Swap igniters side to side, check function.
Swap ballasts side to side, check function.

If one of those causes the problem to shift sides you found the culprit.

If neither of those causes the problem to shift sides, you have a wiring issue.

very true... i think its the ballast, since theres moisture building up i think the headlights not sealed well anymore and i think its ruining the ballast, the moisture cleared mostly up yesterday and then came right back and seemed to get worse, i think im just going to get some new headlights, like the black out ones or something, my clear coat is peeling off of them anyways so its time to replace

thanks for the tips
