Red face Newbie question about painting body kit...

For people who've painted their own kits or body parts... what paint did you use?

Is it possible to just paint with a can of aerosol car paint?

Sounds ghetto, i know, but i'm only looking to paint some chipped sections of my splash guards... so it's not going to be overly visible... but the chips annoy me and it costs to much to go to a shop (130 CDN... about 100 USD - which costs the same as a new set, painted!!!)

I wouldnt use spray paint

Just order some touch up paint from courtesy parts, that should give you a better match.

but the touch up paint would give me a blotchy look. wouldn't it?.. i'm hoping to find a cheap alternative to buying a new set of splash guards, since the damage isn't that bad but it annoys me enough that i want to paint it
