350z FOB remote 6 or 12 key insertion

Hi, this is my first reply!
FYI, I've just purchase a 2004 350Z and as I was looking on how to program FOB remote. Six times key insertion did not work for me. "Travlee" mentioned to insert the key 12 times and someone else had other methods: I was frustrated and kept inserted the key until I heard a relay click. I started over and counted the key insertions and it seems to be 12 or 13 times; however, the 2nd remote was only 6 times as mentioned in the manual... Although this is an old post, I hope it is helpful.
