I was changing my passenger door handle out when I noticed it was missing this metal post. Hopefully I overlooked something because I couldn't find it in any door diagrams on courtesyparts or searches for things like "350Z metal door post". Anyone know what this is? I'm missing the post and screws and I'm hoping I can get both.
The part is referred to as a dovetail latch and is found only on convertibles. Part numbers are 80520-CE41A for the right side and 80521-CE41A for the left. See item 14 on the following link:

Actually I just picked '07 out of the hat since I didn't know your model year. However, the part also shows up for '04 models on the Courtesy web site. You can also find parts on the Nissan USA web site. I found the bolts there; part number 80498-CE40A, $1.50 each.

Atleast the bolts make sense price wise, I'll have to make a trip to a scrapyard eventually and hope they don't know what the dovetail is worth. Door seals just fine without it but I'll have to keep an eye on the part number on ebay hopefully one will pop up cheaper someday.

I would have never though to check later years since mine is an 04.
