Question Where to buy used parts?

Hello everyone!

Recently I've been trying to buy used OEM parts for my 03 Z. The prevous owner of my car thought it would be a grand idea to spend money on the cheapest chinese knock off parts they could find. So as you'd expect the fitment is awful at best. So I've been on the search for OEM body panels, front bumper cover, rear bumper cover, and both side rocker panels (Side skirts) to be more specific.

I've tried asking around in the marketplace section of the forums with no luck. So then I tried looking on car-part.com which is where I normally have some luck, but still nothing really feasable with the cost of shipping. My only luck so far is with a local Nissan junk yard.

The local Nissan junk yard wants:
  • $250 - Front Bumper Cover
  • $200 - Rear Bumper Cover
  • $200 - Both Rocker Panels
So $650 total, but I might be able to talk the owner down on price a little bit.

I just wanted to ask on here if anyone knows of a place that is competitive on pricing for the parts I need.

Thank you!

You cant even buy a front bumper cover painted for 650. Talk about cheap chinese knock off, but dont want to pay for oem.

Pretty sure the knock off cost more than the parts youre buying.

Id paid the dude and move on.

You might check out these Nissan-specific yards in Rancho Cordova (near Sacramento, CA).

They also have websites that list various inventory and such. I've not dealt with them for Nissan stuff but they're up there on Recycle Road where there's specific model yards for just about everything and I've had good luck with the Volvo yard up there in the past. Yes, they ship.
