I just got my wing installed, and I noticed that the back hatch does not stay open. Is it just mine or does everyone have the same problem. Thanks for the help. <M>

So now you have to hold the hatch up in order to put stuff in the back? I'm interested in getting this wing. Is the wing that heavy that it weighs down the hatch when it's open?

I'm interested to hear the responses.

mine stays open...but it doesn't open without lifting it the whole way up....any added weight on the trunk lid will have this effect on the z.

take the "weight" that nissan put on ..now that the wing is on you dont need the added weight..the wing isnt heavy..the weight is under the black plastic hatch cover..its right in the center when you take off the cover...it kinda looks like a very important piece when you look at it (4"X3" black box) but i was told its just a weight

hope that solves your problem

I didnt do anything, maybe my shocks are just built a little better? You know that nothing is built exactly the same, right????????? I have to lift up on my hatch but thats how its always been, it stays up perfect and has since before the wing or after..........I don't know what else to say, sorry if you are having problems.

Does anyone know how to take that black plastic hatch cover off? I tried taking it off by pulling on it, but I feel like I'm going to crack the plastic if I pull any harder.

Any suggestions, tips or pics? Is that weight bolted in?

Mine's same as the other's, holds up fine when it's all the way up. Only real problem I've seen is if you used the remote un open the trunk it will come back down on the latch. Now its almost a 2 handed evolution where you press on the trunk button underneath while your pulling up on the trunk. But hey, small price to pay for having your ride look good right??

I went to the dealer and they are replacing the shocks. So hopefully that will help out. Will let you all know what happens. <M>
