Default IPDM headlight relay

I did a quick search and could not find much on the topic. My headlight relay in my IPDM does not ground out, i believe it is a short in the IPDM. A local on craigslist is selling an ipdm from a 03 Z, i have a 06 6mt. Is there anything i should know about swapping them? Does anyone think the ipdm is not at fault?

Do the auto active test.

Also, you can switch the relays from each other. So take the headlight relay and replace it with another one to see if that solves your problem.

I believe you can use any ipdm as long as it is from a coupe, manual, and 03-06. I thought i had issues with my ipdm before and I purchased a bunch of used ones and they were interchangeable from what I can remember.

I have done the auto active test and they dont come on. Also I tried switching relays and it did not help. I currently have a wire jumping the relay and running to a toggle switch to turn the headlights on. If the ipdms are swapable i think it would be worth the 40 bucks to try it.
