Hey all. Just signed up to the forum. Hoping you all can help me.
We have a 2005 350z Touring. It's my wife's baby. Car is clean. Only has 34k original miles. We bought it new. Our 27th anniversary is coming up and there are a couple of things I'd like to do the car as a gift for her.
One of them is to replace the passenger side, center AC vent. The original cracked a while ago and it's something she has wanted fix for a while. I was able to source a replacement. I have it. But I have no clue how to remove the old one to put the new one in. I've searched all over YouTube and can't seem to find any vids on how to do it. Any help you can give would be great. Image of the vent below.
The other thing I am not sure is doable. She has always hated the center console compartment above the head unit. Is there an aftermarket navigation unit or something else that would fit in this area? Something that would replace the compartment which she has always found to he a waste of space.
Thanks all for your help.

As for the cubby, lots of people have done different things with that space. I put in a Garmin Drive 51 and the fitment is almost perfect. The door still shuts with it recessed.
