Smile Recaro SR-7 have arrived!

After a long 6 month wait my Recaro SR-7’s made their way from the land of the Samurai. I decided to go with the black and silver as this will compliment my Z’s interior. I’ll post up final installation pics when I get these into the car next week.

Definitely excited to see these in the car as they are one of my top choices as well.

thanks!! It’s been a long wait as I ordered these back in January. They’re being installed this Friday and I’ll be sure to post up pics.

Looks nice, but the uneven height hurts my soul.
I'm fighting so hard to keep mine level, it's a struggle lol.

When you find the solution please let me know. I’m actually sitting a bit lower than stock on the driver side. I used Sparco Low mounts.

So far I've learned this with the Sportsters (others may be similar)
1. The passenger side seat is the limitation. The Recaro bracket/slider units are the best conventional way to get them to sit even as it has the lowest possible position for the passenger, while still using a slider.
2. You can get it lower on the passenger side, but it requires you to solid mount and not have a slider.
I'm doing option 2, if successful I will make a write up for it so others have access to it, as this has been the bane of my existence lol.
If it works, it will be the absolute lowest possibility for a seat with a similar frame to the Sportsters.

For people that can or don't mind sitting higher, I strongly recommend the Recaro units, but the will be expensive and made to order.

Doing what I am doing is equally expensive and requires a lot of extra work, but it's something I feel I need to do.
