Orange to Black / new body kit - looking for suggestions
I’ve got my car booked in end of Nov for a full respray as it has needed it since I bought it and now also has a damaged front wing (replacement new wing bought)
I have set aside c£5k but can do a little more as required.
I was going to keep the same colour but always wanted it black so that’s my choice - not sure Matt or Gloss yet . I have a superb guy to do the work.
The two issues that I’m continually trying to sort are :
ive used tarmac many times already for - exhaust / straight through pipes / plenum spacer / cold air intake etc
I’m also having the windows tinted
Also I would like a cool body kit for about £1.5k max - most of the good ones seem to be abroad … looked at rocket bunny but don’t like the idea of cutting the bodywork and also the extra expense of the wider wheels ?
this is the one I do like :
Top body kit choice so far
any advice on lights and good body kits most welcome
I would say no to tinting the front head lights. There's no good reason to decrease light output and the performance of your lights unless you literally never drive at night. There are "backed out" headlight housings which get rid of the interior chrome pieces achieving a similar look. As far as tinting the taillights, you're actively decreasing the ability of other drivers to see you brake or slow down. Seems like asking to get in a rear end collision. I get that the all-black murdered out style is a certain look, but I would stay away from making your lights darker.
As far as body kits go, there are plenty to choose from. The best-fitting ones will be from a reputable brand and not "_____-style" or some cheap-o knockoff. Of course, with enough time and money, you can make anything look good, but expect to pay more upfront if you want to decrease body labor costs.
