Default trunk vents

There is a vent in each corner of the trunk area. Do those vents just pop out from inside? Or do you have to remove the bumper to replace?

While we're talking trunks, can someone post a pic of how the scissor jack is supposed to be stored?

Z1 Motorsports doesn't have those vents. Anyone know a source, or do you have to buy used ones? Anyone know the part number? My left one is missing.

I found the part number: 77008-38358. I also found the actual vent - it had popped out and fallen behind the bumper. The seal is toast though so still looking for a source for one of those, as well as a picture of how the scissor jack should be stowed.

I ended up gluing a plate over the rectangular hole. I'm still getting a small amount of water in that corner. I can't find the source, but it's minimal.

Possibly from the bumper bracket, above the new plate or check the tailights...the the pins that insert into plastic grommets.. they may be cracked/gone.

I'd be surprised to find one with a decent gasket. Plus, there is some body damage in that corner so the metal is a bit deformed. I think even with a new vent and gasket it might leak, so went with the patch. I think the other one probably provides enough air flow to accommodate door and trunk closing.

Can anyone tell me how the jack should be stowed? There's a nice compartment for everything else. Is the black strap related?

Someone posted about how it's a bad idea to cover the vent because they facilitate door and trunk closing and then deleted the post. I agree that's what they are for and that it's not ideal to cover them, but hopefully covering just one will be fine. As I mentioned, there was some earlier body damage in that area. The rectangular surface is not perfectly flat. I wasn't confident that if I shelled out $100 for a new vent that it would keep the water out.
