Just ignore the stupid comments made by certain trolls of this forum. Im surprised he still doesnt have an X from his comments. Not only on this thread but on countless others.

Where are the Admins?

On the more interesting topics. Its funny that you asked that MRJDMZ33.

Ben was driving and I was in another car coming home late from a carshow. I asked the driver of the car that I was in "where the hell the Z go?" He said its behind us. I said nope it has HIDs.

A few minues later I remembered about the overlay. The bluish tint of the HIDs are gone and replaced with a white beam of light.

I don't know if that makes sense. Blue HIDs + Yellow Overlay = White Beam?

So Ben was driving your Z and you were in another car, and whne you turned around, your headlights were lighting up in a white beam instead of a yellowish tint? Let me know if this is true. If I get the yellowish overlay, I would like for it to light up in a yellowish tint, instead of a white beam. Let me know if this info is correct. Thanks

I think BLUE + YELLOW = GREEN, maybe the white light was caused by the projector

Ben is actually the owner. In the earlier stages of the car when the car was still BigBadBlackTrack I (Albert) just helped him finish the car and get the Modified Magazine shoot.

Sometimes I drive the car to shows too. That is why in the earlier post the old school people who met us both in person refer to us by saying "Nice job Ben and Albert"

He later on redid the car as as BigBadBlueAndTurquoise. I do most of the posting here in the forum and he still reads it almost everyday. Its his car Im just the friend and neighbor that helped him spend his $$$ on the car.

And yeah it has a white with a very light hint of yellow with the HIDS. Im sure with the stardard headlights it will be more yellowish.

I doesnt quite work the same way with straight up light as it does with say paint or something like that. This confused me at first back in high school physics, because all throughout my years they taught us the primary colors and all that jazz, red plus blue = purple, etc. Then come to find out, with light that is projected its somehow different. The yellow filter somehow cancels out a lot of the longer blue waves from the light, kind of like a polarizer, and causes it to be more white looking. or..blue blocker sunglasses? correct me if I'm wrong?

yeah but then u have the Porsches, Vettes, etc...that are on the GT race series that have the yellow tint on their headlights that light up completely yellowish. Now that is bad ***....how can we make this happen to our Z's if we were to do the yellow tint on our headlighs, etc...That's what I want to know...

On the other hand, it seems like some GT cars have the yellow tint overlay on their headlights and some simply have the yellow bulbs on their headlights without the overlay..Like for example the Porsche down below. But I don't want to change the HID bulbs...I simply want to have the yellow tint overlay on my headlights and have them lit up in the yellowish tint, but it looks like that won't happen having HID bulbs...I dunno, LOL!!!

70% of the GT cars that runs in the Le Mans 24hr. race have yellow tinted head light, most of the drivers prefer yellow beams for better vision at night, you able to see more when the yellow beams reflect against the ground.
I have that yellow tint on mine car, when you look close or near the car, the head light itself look yellow, but the projector HID beam that shoot out has just a bit of yellow only.

So what you have then is the yellow tint overlay that goes above the glass of the headlight which is already precut to fit. FOr example on the link below from Nissan Performance Parts they sell the overlay kit for about $60. Let me know if this is what you have. If not, then explain, etc...Thanks

mrjdmz33,
what I have on it is not the tint overlay from performance Nissan, I spayed the yellow tint paint from the hobby shop, the one you use for the model cars, they work just the same as the film ones. but more work compares to the yellow film overlay, the overlay is very easy to put on, since they are pre-cut to the shape of the headlight, all you have to do is clean the headlight very well, and spay some soap and water mixed to the lens, apply the film over it, sqeeze all the water out and dry it with hairdryer.

if you want to save some $ on those pre-cut ones, try the hobby shop, they should have something there, but you have to cut it yourself.
