Im not an engine expert nor a force induction specialist. So when Modified Mag had a bunch of questions regarding the Turbo and its specs I pointed them towards the PE office here in Cali. Since Cheston and PE had a 'bad' relatonship during those times I guess they tried to flip the story upside down. When the magazine story came out, of course I was surprised.
Cheston developed the US Spec PE TT Kit. You know that and we all do, I'm not taking credit. We've been in touch with each other since the prototype was finished. You'll never know the politics behind all of this crap unless you experice it first hand. Since that incident metioned above I guess the 2 parties have agreed on something and Cheston finally got the his setup.
BigBadBlackTrack, congrats on your car being on the cover of a magazine. You were the first for many things, and now I think you're the first member on this site to be on the cover of a magazine!
And regarding first with the PE TT, I don't think you did anything wrong, but you really should let Modified know who really was the first. If it wasn't for the work of Cheston, the US kit most likely wouldn't be as good as it is now. Modified should really write a small apoligy in their next magazine and correct themselves, if they stated you were the first.
Just my opinion though..

Thanks for the comment Ricky.
Actually, after talking to Cheston to apologize about the article, I sent the head editor of Modified an e-mail to inform him about the error. I also called and spoke to him to personally explain what the real story is. He did not exactly tell me what they're planning to do to correct the error, but as you said, I am hoping that they can write a small apoligy about the error on their next issue.
Regarding Victor's (Mike W.) comment, I sent you a p.m. to explain what exactly happened. I am just hoping that next time, being the head guy of this forum, please don't make such comment unless you really know the real story. I don't mean to disrespect you, but I think I have the right to defend myself in this type of situation.
it is gonna be a really nice looking kit I would say!!!
How aboure the rear fenders? Are you going to make those slightly wider than the standard ones to match the front? If so, are they going to be a one-piece design or an add-on?
cheers,
richie

i think he said that he was going to make totally new fenders (using the stock ones as a mold)
i would assume that if he is making wide fronts he will for sure make wide rears...

The finish product will be made out of both epoxy and carbon fiber.
Ben,
It's been what? more than a year or so now?
Everytime you post something about your car it has such a subtle title like: "Time for a new Mod" or "Check out my new mod" then when you click on it...it's some revolutionary groundbreaking Z tweaking transformation that makes us go
!
You gotta quit that and start naming your threads with "brace yourself" or "booyah!!"
Good luck on this install and like many others...I can't wait to see the final product!

That looks great Ben.... can hardly wait to see it in person. On another note.. is your car at the AIS show right now? Me and the crew are on our way over there in a few hours.
That freakin hot ben.

good stuff!!!
if you want to take it up a notch, made the lower half sweep away like the RX7 in the VOLK/RAYs catalog..., to reduce the drag off the revolving front wheels..
so have the top part stick up. but cut if off half way and smooth it back into the body-.
