Default Pictures of tint

I've been highly considering getting my windows tinted on my Z, but I would like to see some pictures of some different percentages on some before I actually go through with it. I've been considering getting 18% (i know it's illegal) and it would be great if someone had a black Z like mine with either 20% or 18% that could post some pictures, and maybe some 30% for some comparison. Thanks a lot.

I have pictures of my SS with 15% on the driver and passenger window and 5% (limo) on the rear quarter windows and the hatch. however, I do not have a host from which i can link the pictures.
If you'd like to see them send me a PM with your email address and ill see them to you.

since your Z is black... id go with legal tint, which is probably 35% in your state(mine is). black cars with a "very dark" tint doesnt look as cool as lightly tinted. i dont know why but it's just my opinion.

I'm the opposite of catastrophZZ...i think a black car with dark black tints looks awesome!
If you think that the cops in the area would care about the tints then you should prob stick to the legal limit. I wouldn't want to be attracting more attention from the cops then necessary. If they dont care though i say go dark! The only con of darker tint is it can be pretty hard to see out of at night. The 15% isn't bad, but the limo is hard to see out of, especially on the hatch.

Damn, here in cali you can not have ANYTHING on the windows. Well, you can have a UV protectant film on the windows which doesnt really make them darker at all, but that's it.

I think I will be going with 20% all around ( excluding front window of course ) though when I get around to it.

NY is the same way. It also matters where in NY, but cops will stop you for the slightest tint job. My 745i has tint and a cop once pulled out the "tint machine" on me.

I have double limo.....I have to stick and move when it comes to cops. I think I have racked up about 200-300 bucks in getting tickets written off. Luckely I have a buddy cop who writes them off for me. But i have to send in $10 everytime I get a ticket.
here is a pic:

JSN350Z, you can tint in California. I did some research on the window tinting law and this is what I came up with:

(d) Notwithstanding subdivision (a), clear, colorless, and transparent material may be installed, affixed, or applied to the front side windows, located to the immediate left and right of the front seat if the following conditions are met:

(1) The material has a minimum visible light transmittance of 88 percent.

(2) The window glazing with the material applied meets all requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 205 (49 C.F.R. 571.205), including the specified minimum light transmittance of 70 percent and the abrasion resistance of AS-14 glazing, as specified in that federal standard.

(3) The material is designed and manufactured to enhance the ability of the existing window glass to block the sun's harmful ultraviolet A rays.

(4) The driver has in his or her possession, or within the vehicle,
a certificate signed by the installing company certifying that the
windows with the material installed meet the requirements of this
subdivision and identifies the installing company and the material's manufacturer by full name and street address, or, if the material was installed by the vehicle owner, a certificate signed by the material's manufacturer certifying that the windows with the material installed according to manufacturer's instructions meets the requirements of this subdivision and identifies the material's manufacturer by full name and street address.

(5) If the material described in this subdivision tears or bubbles,
or is otherwise worn to prohibit clear vision, it shall be removed
or replaced.

88% isn't the greatest, but its better than nothing at all. I believe factory tint is like 92%, so it doesn't leave you much room.

Just thought I would throw that out there. I would love to get mine tinted, I just don't want that future fix-it ticket.
