Smile anyone using silverstar H7 as low-beam?

How are the results?

I have a base model that uses H7 as low-beam, and want the "HID look" as sylvania calls it.

Are they worth it?
do they iluminate better or just look kool or none?

thanks

I just install a pair of silverstar on my base 04. it's worth the investment if you consider other "HID look" bulb usually dont last more than a few month. I have seen a report which concluded PIAA's actually make your headlights dimmer. I have not compare them next to a z w/HID. Therefore, I am not sure wheter it stands up to its claim. Silverstar looks much whiter when you compare it to the auxillary bulb next to the low bean, but dont expect the candle light power as a real HIDs. One advise: you should get your headlights adjusted. They are almost pointing straight down.

i just replaced my high beam's with the Silverstar H7's and they match my low beam HID's GREAT! you can tell a huge difference between these and the H7 bulb the factory puts in.

overboosted is right though, although it will make a big difference, don't expect the brightness and clarity a real HID puts out(because IMO it is impossible to have a true HID look without a REAL HID bulb). hope this helps...

I put Eurolite H7's in my high beams and they match the HIDs very well. Ive seen friends buying Razo's or PIAA's or other more expensive brands, but the Eurolites are BY FAR the best bang for the buck in my opinion. Only $20 for 2 highbeams, so if one blows youre only out $10, compared to the $90 PIAAs (which happen to blow quite often from my experience with them), which IMO you cant even see a difference when they're on the car. I've never worked with Silverstars though, so I can't comment on their quality.
