Question Replacement front bumper

The Z has taken a little parking damage on the front bumper, no structural damage just some ugly looking scrapes.

The local Nissan recommended bodyshop wants $700 to remove the bumper, sand and repaint / refinish.

Is there anywhere you can order a whole new bumper already painted (lemans sunset)? And how much does this cost if available?

ok, you should seriously consider the nismo replica bumper from performance nissan. maybe if you buy it locally from them, they could get it painted and installed for you. worth a shot. here is the link to their bumper.

that's what i'm gonna do... my bumper has so many rock chips, i'm just gonna get a Nismo replica and get it painted and put on... it's cheap and looks better

Thanks for the info!

We want to keep it stock looking, but Performance Nissan have the bumpers in stock (for a good price) and are currently getting me a quote on painting

Hopefully will be a much better price. Being as they are local, there is no shipping too.

The $700 I was quoted, was from the body shop the local Nissan dealer recommended.

I just paid about $470 for a new stock bumper, painted and installed. Came out very nicely.

Even better news!

This Lunchtime we took it to another bodyshop for another quote.

the guy came out and looked at it, said he could probably buff it out, took the car, brought it back in 10 minutes, with 95% of it gone! You can't tell unless you get really really close up and catch the minor scratches in the clear coat in the light just right! Excellent. There is still a small chip on the edge of the wheel arch, which we're going to hit with touch-up paint, it's maybe 1/8th inch square. Of course it's not "perfect condition" now, but we'll wait until we collect the usual stone chips and so before having it completely refinished.

So two thumbs up for M2 Collision Center in Redlands!

Of course the question is... why did the other bodyshops not offer to do this? They all wanted to replace / repaint the whole bumper... greedy...
