Default Body shop screwwed up my car

Well a while back i left mom car home in the driveway and my mom hit it (not lookin behind her) with my dads truck and said the park assistent didnt work ( she suppose to look back anyways!!).
when she hit it my ac didnt work and my hood and bumper had to be replaced i was thinking about getting a CF hood so i did but she woulnd buy the CF bumper. So i bring the parts into a body shop to get my car fixed get an estamate and every things goin great untill my mom talks to a family friend thats when eery thing went down hill the friend tells her about how he knows where a god body shop is and isnt as expensive so she being the cheap one desides to go there i didnt want to it didnt look as professional as the other accualy it didnt look professional at all. we bring my car to get fixed and i tell him i wanted the CF hood painted that there will be CF where the 2 dents ar in the hood. He says some bullsh*t about how its so hard to paint and how its gonna be more i really didnt care at thi point i wanted my car fixed so he starts fixing then tells my he is gonna have to replase the plastic brace in the front of the car and that it would be ready soon after paint 2 weeks and a bunch of excuses later my mom picks up the car from the guy and she thinks it looks great (i didnt see it yet) i go out and see it and it looks like **** to me , the lines on the edge of the indentation in the hood are way on even and there is a little of over spray on some of the car and the bumper is way off the color of the rest of the car i ask my mom to bring it back because i hate it and she says no 2 weeks later the paint on my bumper starts to peel off. i am pissed as hell so the first day off i get from school i bring it to him and he says he will fix it. a couple of days later i get it back and take it home the next morning i wake up and notice that the lip (which is what was peeling) is a different color than the rest of my car it looks almost purpleish. so i wash my car like i usualy do on days off and then realize that the paint feels lie sandpaper!!
there was a **** load of over spray on my car and i was pissed so i ask my dad to take it back to him and talk to him about it and he doesnt. so i and stuck here with a car with overspray all over it and i dont even want to go there because it has been so long now and I will probably start swering at him. and also my A/C stop working occasionally. What do you guys think i should do?

and how can i get all the overspray off if possible or do i have to get my hole car clearcoated?

Thanks for any replies
Josh

Wow, thats messed up....kill your mom and use the insurance collected to buy a new Z, a Turbo Kit, and maybe some english classes as well. As for actual advice, I'm not really sure what the best coarse of action would be, it depends on how badly the overspray and paint quality is...I would probably take it to another (quality) shop and get an estimate. If it's really that bad talk to the owner of the shop, maybe they will help pay for a quality job if you b*tch enough. I've had a similar experience with the front end of my e46. I just complained and eventual they fixed all the paint chips on my hood for free. In any case, goodluck!

If you're still financially dependent on your parents . . . or living at home . . . suck it up.

If you're financially independent of your parents . . . go through your and their insurance. Do it legally, and at least your parents will respect you. If all you do is talk/argue with them . . . both you and your parents will get frustrated, and you'll get nowhere.

Suck it up, has nothing to do with being responsible for your actions and his parents have no character. Remember she hit his car, she looked at it as a burden, showed no respect to her son and his property.

Maybe you should've reported it to your insurance company? Are your parents paying for the car? That would have a direct effect on what I would tell you to do.

On a side note, I can't believe your mom's truck has Sprewells.

You're assuming it is HIS property. For all I know, his parents make the payments or pay for the insurance or whatever. From the tone of the thread, it sounds like he is having to ASK his mother to fix it. Come on . . . why is it that his mother was the one who got to ultimately choose the auto body shop? Why does his mother get to say "no . . . I won't take it back to get it redone?" Look at the surroundings in the background of the photos. Looks like a well-off neighborhood. Looks like some nice vehicles . . . Escalade and all. My guess . . . pretty rich (or at least well off) parents . . . nice house . . . the parents are paying for the Z.

If it were me, I'd get her insurance info, have the cops come out on the day of the accident to file a report, call my own insurance, etc. I'd do this if it were a family member who hit my car or not. It's the right way to handle it.

If you are dependant on your parents - tough break kid. The only think you can do is plead your case. If you are not dependent on your parents well... I would go through the insurance company, hire a lawyer for the paint shop owner who screwed your car up in the first place and have a small letter drafted requesting a full refund of the services rendered (as they are not to your liking). Take him to small claims court if he puts up a fight. Of course I have a free lawyer so cost wise going the legal route may be a bit more expensive. The threat is usually good enough to scare them

Take the money your parents didn't spend on your spelling and grammar lessons and get your car fixed properly.

Um...clear coat is put on cars when you get new paint. If your painter didn't put clear coat on it, that's not professional at all and you should demand a proper paint job. I don't know the prices of them, but it should be included in the cost...
