Those of you that are familiar with high end NSX parts have probably heard the name. Tiatec - they make JGTC parts (mainly this rear diffuser) for the NSX. I was wondering if anyone has seen anything like this for the 350Z. I have been looking for it FOREVER!!!
If anyone is interested in makeing one please PM me a price. Or any ideas on making one myself? please ideas, hints, coments?
oh pics

I believe Top Secret makes a rear-diffuser for the Z that's very similar to that one of the X, though I don't see any of the vendors selling them or posting pics anymore.
I was watching a JDM dvd where they had a couple for the 350z sitting on their shelves at the Top Secret factory so I'm sure they're for retail.
I can't imagine seeing them on too many street cars but you could probably order it through one of the vendors..special request? It'll cost a pretty penny considering their front diffuser's go for around a grand.
Good luck!

My opinion- Fugly
Fact- that won't be functional unless at very high speeds, and I don't see it being helpful on the streets... it WOULD be cool if it was easily removeable so you could put it on just when you go to the track (if you do?).

I don't see it on their website anymore. If I recall correctly, they use to have it. It might be another vendor but nonethless www.bulletproofautomotive.com carries the most Top Secret stuff I've seen so far.
You might want to contact them and see what kind of response you get.

hey andy-
how IS your project coming along?
since i got the Rsr GT2 exhaust.. my designs have changed somewhat-
curious of where / how you're mounting yours, since both of our design are fundamentally the same.. i have two molds semi finished, but i'm worried now about structural rigidity of the diffuser and how it will hold up from the pressure...
PM me if you want to talk about it.. im sure we can both benefit each other--
Cheston

Cheston,
That rear diffuser project was put on a hold for now.......
We based our design from a RX-7 rear diffuser........
Moutning points will be an issue and with many different exhuast designs out there it'll be hard to come up with a diffuser design that'll fit all of them........

no kidding!
i have one for the RSR gt2 (which will fit, i think the tanabe or one similar)... but the angle is pretty much flat if not like 1 or 2 degrees of incline.. not nearly as effective as stock exhaust.. but a work around since the back of my bumper is flapping as it catches wind with the stock exhaust now gone.. i just want to seal it off..
i've played around with ABS plastic, sheet metal, and carbon..
there are four mounting holes under the rear bumper where the stock muffler used to sit.. it holds the heat shield... i've built a truss that will come out like a spider to each corner of the diffuser, with an X brace... along with a rear bumper support to catch the back edge.. heat is the issue.. with my turbos, the exhaust is quite warm.....
the only issue with that Rx7 diffuser is that its not starting nearly soon enuf, nor high enough toward the rear axle for it to do any good.... but if there is a will.. there is a way..
