Hi, guys
I have an Enthusiast and of course I want leather seats now.
I was looking at the back of both seats and there are zippers which go all the way down the backs. I assume for the bottom piece it's the same (I have to double check).
Anyway, I was looking at the "official" leather seat covers by Nissan and I was wondering how hard would it be to replace them yourself if it's just a matter of unzipping the cloth and putting the leather. I mean, I know it's not as easy as I made it sound, but is it possible... has anybody done it?
BTW, here is a picture of it:

Has anybody bought the official ones? How do they look? I want the "burnt orange" ones or as they call it, "tan".
Thanks for your help.

The top part of the seat is held together by hog rings , hard to cut , and also the zippers, if you have heated seats you have to carefully cut out the heater bars that are stiched into the back of the orginal seats and put them onto the new skins. The bottom seat also has hog rings these attach to the bars at the base of the skins and around the sides. When I replaced mine I made up new bars for the sides from a good coat hanger. This job is a pain in the as.. if you can find a good installer do it . Also the head rests material does not come off so you have to slip the new material over the headrest. The job takes most of the day. Also when doing it make sure that you disconnet your battery terminal first before taking out the seats. Enjoy
