My car got backed into yesterday and it looks like I am going to need a new bumper. I am sure that this has happened to others. Also, should I take it to a Nissan Dealership to get the appraisal then contact the insurance company?

 

bumper is like 290 if memory serves, what will get you is painting.

expect to pay atleast 200 for painting, and more if you want a good job.

the dealership will supply the bumper(might want to see if performance or courtesy nissan can beat what you local dealer is charging) though even so, ask the insurance company for whatever local dealer charges.

then painting should be seperate, your dealer wont be painting it, they might refer you to someone, but chances are your insurance company might tell you who can and cant paint it.
