anyone know what an unsewn shift boot looks like (size?)
im trying to get some burnt orange leather...or somehting close to it
but i dont know how much i need nore do i know how to sew a shift boot
any help?

If you are committed, go ahead and remove the fake leather cover, it's only attached by a ring with some screws and a zip tie. After you have it off, use a seam thread cutter that you can get at any sewing store. When you are done cutting the thread loose, you will have the exact pattern for the cover. You can then take the pieces to the leather store and find a small piece of leather from which to trace and cut out duplicate pieces. Then all you have to do is sew the new pieces together. I would recommend buying garment leather because it is thinner and supple and sews easily. If you don't think that you can sew it yourself, take it to a local tailor who does alterations and pay them to sew it up for you. There are just two straight seams I believe so I can't see them charging much at all to do that.
