i know what you mean. i LOVE that grill. that is what i was planning on doing. every time i see one of those jags, i try to size up their grill. i havent seen one that i think will fit yet. i wonder how much an actual jag grill mesh would cost though? probably damn expensive.

actually i was planning on going down to home depot and making my own. it doubt they have that same wire mesh, but hopefully i can find something close.

hopefully something like the bottom right hand corner one.

I used [ A] on my G35 . For the opening in the grill I cut for the intercooler . Painted it black...almost matches the other 2 side opening grill

you should check out summitracing.com and search on autotecnica grille or part # apa-410160. Their prices and shipping rates are very reasonable. I've been spending the weekend cutting out the stock grille. A 24 tooth hacksaw blade works wonders! anyway, good luck on your grille.

Hey guys I work for a Jaguar parts dept. part time and the XKR or XJR grille will not fit the Z. You are better off going with an aftermarket mesh material. Plus the Jag grill is about $600 just for the mesh insert, so it would be an expensive experiment.

well if you got the plastic one, at least you know it wouldn't rust.

i think we have concluded that someone needs to start knockning off the jag grille. so i guess my question has been answered, rag top let me know how it turns of if you find something similar to the jag mesh, because i would love to do that as well. the fact that the real thing is 600 dollars reflects the fact that it is a Jaguar part, and not an aftermarket part, they always rip you off on stuff like that especially when you are paying up for a jag, benz or other high end luxury sports car.

damn, i ended up ordering the mesh online because i couldnt find what i wanted locally.

the thing took 9 days to come in. they told me 3. i was starting to get worried. anyways, hopefully i can install it this weekend although i am not sure yet how i am going to attach it..... zip ties or clips.

bad yellowish pic, but here is the grille material. it does look kind of like the jag one:

I actually had the same idea. I dont like our plastic grill and want to do something like on the XKR.

RagtopZ, do you know what material that mesh is made out of? Will it rust? I dont want to paint my mesh grill and need to find something that wont rust....

joust75, it is made out of aluminum. no worry of it rusting.

here is where i got it from:

mesh grille material

the shipping took longer than promised, but it came in perfect condition. the quality is very good. 11.5" x 48". still wrestling on how to install it. i am getting my hasemi sports front lip tomorrow too, so i have to install that as well.

Check out Mc Master Carr Catalog , I think they may have what you are looking for.
I think they even have that stuff in stainless steel.
