Question Hmmm...which seats?

Which aftermarket seats do you guys recommend. Comfort is of most importance! Oh, looks as well. Pics would be good too, thanks.

if you want brides, you gotta be uber skinny or they won't be comfterable.

do you want a bucket or a reclining seat?

all of the sparco reclinables are garbage, they're not comfterable at all imo.

the recaro speed are reclinables that are pretty comfterable, it has pretty nice sized bolsters so it gives alot of support without being difficult to get in and out of.

i use the recaro pole position spg buckets. they're some of the widest buckets available, and they're super comfterable once you get into them; however, getting in and out can be a pain, if your car is a daily driver ... your passengers/wives/girlfriends will hate you if you have a bucket for a passenger seat i have to slide the seat all of the way back to get in and out, it's akward at first but you get used to it really quick; after a week or two you won't even notice it anymore.

edited to fix my engrish

I'm going to get Cobra Misano's, Syf0n has them, maybe he can answer as to comfort. I imagine alacantra and leather are good though. They have a carbon fiber back, so they are really strong. They also look really good. Expensive but worth it imo. $1200 per seat.

I would recommend the cobra misanos. I'm 6'2", weigh 220 lbs. These are the most comfortable seats I've sit in. I originally had Sparco milanos, but they were a little too small for me.

One thing they don't have is adjustable lumbar. That would be the only thing I'd change about them.

Good luck!

I had Sparco Monzas installed in my car while it was out in California, sight unseen. Before I got it back I sat in some Sparco Milanos and was really worried about the fit as they were really tight. In addition, I had a problem clearing the side when getting out. Fortunately the Monzas are a built a little bit wider, give excellent support without the "high" sides and I am very happy with them. Everyone that has sat in them seems to really like them as well.

BTW this is the best picture I could find right now.

mole is right! ill say for a FACT the recaro speed is buy far the most comfortable racing seat!! (this statement has NOTHING to do with my sponcership!!) i just drove 14hrs (under construction! ) STRAIGHT up to Detroit for a funeral last week. and my a$$ didnit go numb once!!! i dont think it wouldve been that nice of a ride, even in the stock seat. the bolsters are nice and high providing LOTS of holding/support. but you can still put cruise on, and bend your thigh up over the bolster too turn it into a rest! you get the feeling of riding very deep in them, sitting in them normaly (both legs inbetween the bolsters). you get NO lateral movment at all! they are VERY well cusioned. with just the right amount of lower back support! im 5'9, 185lbs, and they are pure heaven! i like the bride brix II's, (jdm as all hell, and a VERY nice looking seat) but the fit was TOO thight for me! i found the bolster just a "little" too high. i felt like i had to squeeze in between the bolsters! i have heard that the bride ergo II's bolsters are a little smaller. but i dont want to coment, since i havent sat in a set "myself" yet. mabey at 155lbs, the brix II's would fit better?? just my $.02!

I don't want to hijack the thread so I'll post some links to a couple of pics I just took. Thanks for the compliments.

zectasy. im similar proportions to you, and i had torinos, and when i sat in the orginally, they were a bit tight, but after awhile they do "mold" to you. My drivers seat is definetly more comfortable for me than my passenger seat. You should come out and check out our chicago Z meet on October 3rd and you can get some seat time

I sat in Torinos and they were tight. The Monza is a new seat that Sparco debuted at SEMA last year and are a little more "forgiving" than their Milano and Torino lines. They feel about the same or maybe even a little bit bigger than the stock seats, but with a lot better support.
