Default 05 Nav Door Swap???

I was at the dealer this weekend and noticed they finally fixed the mec on the Nav door. It now opens up and stays there. It does not slide back...

So, I was thinking about swapping mine out...until I asked about the price. It is ~$130.00 at the dealer.

I can't recall if it was all one unit the last time I had my dash apart. Just wondering if anyone has done the swap yet???

I wonder if the color match is the same from 2k4 models to the 2k5.
I have a 2k4 non nav and after reading the forums here im almost sure there isnt any way ill be getting a screen into that cubby without cutting or doing mods ( someone correct me if im wrong on that)
I wonder how well the 2k5 would work?
Id pay that price if it matched and worked.

Yeah, I guess they fixed that for 2004 too. Where as you don't have to grab the lid and pull it back down. Just happen to notice it on the 2005 I sat in while waiting to pick up my car from Service. Also notice the extra cigarette lighter on the passanger side...next to the knee pad. (?)

Anyway, just wondering if anyone pulled the old empty Nav box out and replaced it with a newer one that just flips up???
