Disconnecting the heat for the seats
How can I turn off the heated seat function?
I think I can just disconnect the wiring under the seats. Which wires should I disconnect?
If I disconnect these wires, will it affect any of the cars' other functions? (I have had problems with this on other cars.)
Has anyone else done this?
Thanks

The switches are too easy to bump with an elbow and accidently turn on the heating unit. The last thing I need on a 100 degree day at Thunder Hill is a hot rear end.
Ares, how do you remove the switches to disconnect them?

there are 2 screws on the side of the center panel, move the seats foward and youll see the 2 screws, 1 on each side. then theres a screw under the coin tray.
I forget but there may be some in that center console too. lastly, wedge a flat head screw driver wrapped in a towel under the ring around the shifter and it should pop up, then the centerconsole will pull up, reach under and you get to the switch wires.
simple eh? its not that hard, but it is the first time when you dont know how it should go.
Id imaging the plug to the seat would be the same plug for the power seat and all. same for the fuse, but I suppose these would be worth investigating first.
