Site Design is a HUGE step backwards.
I've been away for awhile, but I must say that the design of this site has taken a huge step backwards. Here are my chief complaints:
1) The default font for the individual forums is entirely too large. I don't feel I should decrease the font size of my browser every time I visit the forum.
2) Relying on javascript for site navigation is a big no no for a forum. The "show new posts" is on a dropdown? Doesn't seem to be any logical reason for this type of control. Commonly used controls should be in pure html, in an easily accessible location. Yes this forum is devoted to car owners and enthusiasts, but it's very hostile to any blind users that may wish to discuss the 350Z and other Nissan vehicles. This may also be a problem for other users with other disabilities.
3) Javascript again. Disabling javascript renders the site un-navigable. The little hovers that popup when moving around the forum are annoying. Not a little annoying, but frustratingly annoying. Disabling javascript removes the annoyance, but removes all site navigation.
At one point, I would have put this forum at the top of my list in design. Now I find the design intrusive enough that I don't wish to return. Which is a shame, because this is the best place to discuss my car.
