Why was that thread about " black leaders asking rappers to stop using the N word" ( something along those lines ) removed?

 

Appears that it has --I think Rev Jesse got wind of it, discussed it with Al and decided their income for the future may be in jeopardy

 

 

Is the mod that removed this thread above answering why?????

 

My guess is that "Darkies" became more controversial than the N-word. *sigh* And I had just written a terrific response that would have solved the worlds racial problems. It was long, so I don't want to write it again.

 

I posted a bunch of times going back and forth against LOWJ, I think the mods deleted because of that.

I think the thread should be reopened. It can be a healthy discussion as long as everyone keeps their cool. Everyone was keeping their cool except oh boy with the "darky" comments. If the thread is to remain deleted ATLEAST the mod that removed it should give us a good reason why!

LOL, violent stories from the past...nobody was making threats in the present tense! When you're discussing a topic about racial slurs you're basically discussing "hate." And we all know "hate" and "violence" go hand in hand.

 

Hate is feeling behind words and actions. I have been friends with black people all my life and, if your interested, have stories where I have sacrificed much to stick up for black people. There's absolutely no hate from me, and there's no hate in the words I use. As I said before, who cares about "darkie"? And the N-ga word you spoke of actually had a very good beginning (If you care, look it up). One day, you'll realize that if words cease to have meaning, they can't be used in a negative way. Hence, why I brought up "Whitey" before. If you call me "Whitey" it means nothing to me. It means I'm white... wow.

 

One thread was deleted so you think those thread(s) should be deleted as well?
I saw and posted in the deleted thread as well as one of the threads you are pointing out. The racial tone was quite different in the deleted thread IMO.

If u are truly "non Prejustice" then those comments would never come to mind.
As I stated in the "Lost" thread, My only Prejustice is weakness and cowardness in a man. If u are proud and u strive to be ur own man and u have a want, to be a better man, every day, than u were the day before then ur my Brother.
But I call it as I see it too. If the shoe fits, I will get in a guys face and call him the N word JUST like I will get in a guys face and call him White Trash if thats how they are presenting them selves.
We have become too "Politically Correct" and because of it, people are walking on egg shells being blatently over "non prejustice" which in fact is prejustice because they are obsessed with heretitary traits.
Like I said ----Put it to sleep !!!

I don't think I've ever brought up race of any kind when in an argument. I really don't care the colour. If a guy's a ****, he's a ****.

I for one was enjoying that discussion. Slam, I don't agree with your argument regarding those words, but I do appreciate being able to discuss it with you.

My Rebuttal: The point I was trying to get across was that people over compensate. The coments I was refering to were ones like " Some of my best friends are black " infering they are not prejustice, when in fact, if they wernt, that statement would be moot

 

How would you like him to respond when somebody says "I bet you don't have any black friends" and he actually does?
Please word this without the "cliche" you keep referring to.
Saying "I have many black friends" is racist? I would think it would sound more racist to say "I have no black friends".

 

I quess --Im looking for a perfect world where friends are just that ---Friends and its nobodys fockin business what heretitary traits they have.

And yes---I get irked at people that go on and on about the nationality of their friends-----If they wernt prejustice, they would no more mention it than mention what kind of shampoo they used in the shower this morning

And heriditary traits usually refer to ones eye color, foot size, eye sight and things of that nature, not race or nationality.

Cliches are popular catch phrases of the day, used by people that have no imagination, to give the impression they are up with the times. In other words, followers that want to fit in. They use terms like "some of my best friends are black" so they appear to be Mr and Mrs Politically Correct ----Like its a badge of honor. My point is Cut the Crap.

I quess we can split hairs as far as what I meant when I used the word heretary, ------That is if we wanted to waste this thread with Split Hairs.
