Default Cleaning/Detailing should have own section

The Cleaning/Detailing section is a sub-category of the "Body, Interior, Exterior & Lighting" section. Personally I never go there because I never see it, it's so small. If you visit the detailing section, you'll see for yourself the lack of postings. I remember before, when it used to have its own section in BOLD, I used to visit often. And I'm feeling that others may be in the same boat.

with almost 4000 threads started within it, I dont think to many people are having trouble finding it.

Yes, but that was when it had it's own category in Bold. The activity has died down because recently it's been made a sub of Body,Ext,Int..

I used to be the Moderator of that forum when it was a "top level" forum. There were periods when it was busy and periods where it was slack; much like it is now.

I don't really see how it being a sub-forum makes much difference. It's not like is was combined with another forum and the C&D posts were lost in a sea of unrelated postings.

If finding the correct forum was a problem, I believe we'd see a lot of C&D related questions in the wrong forums and we're just not really seeing that.

I dunno... not much is happening in the world of detailing. It's not exactly a cutting edge interest group. People have their methods and they stick with them. If people are really interested, there are tons of old threads for them to look at.

If people want to ask serious questions, the answers are on autopia.org or meguiarsonline.com forums.
