Default Did something happen earlier today to the site?

I tried logging on around 11 am, and apparently it was as if the website didn't even exist (Mozilla gave me that page you get like when you type in a non-existent URL, but I have it bookmarked!). It stayed like this well into the afternoon I left around 3:30 pm Pacific, and just got back home now at around 9.50 pm Pacific. I had no problems with the internet in general, just trying to get onto this site.

I'm not bitching or whining, I realize these things happen, but I just want to know if everyone noticed this or was it just some freak thing that happened on my end?

Looked like DNS servers were being unresponsive, so possibly a DNS error...

Wow, you are not even this site admin and you know what the problem was.

Domain Name Service DNS? come on man...it has nothing to do with that.

I'm not 100% sure, and I really know jack **** about this stuff.

I was doing traceroutes and found out that certain DNS servers could still access the site.

My PDA phone for example could ping my350z.com and connect, but my work and home computer couldn't so did a DNS query and got "server not responding to query" messages.

Yup, it was some DNS problem. I and a few others were the only ones online for most ofthe evening. I had the IP address hardcoded in my HOSTS file so my 'puter knew where to find the site.

Ahhh, that makes sense. For whatever reason, I was still able to log on, no problem...But, there was only six other people on and no new posts, I was wondering what the hell was going on....
