This is the first time I've noticed it, but I think some black borders have been changed to gray.

 

yeah, notices that as soon as I saw it. Cleaner look. was it aways this 'lavander' here?

 

I think Mike took out the borders altogether, along with other unecessary stuff to speed the site up.

 

I liked the borders but if it speeds the site up... I think I can deal with it.

 

I think the slowest part of the website is just getting into the forums and i believe it has to do with the weather report (getting the information from a 3rd party - half the time it doesn't work with the infamous red 'x').

looks like the forums have been changed back to what they looked like earlier in the day.

it would be cool to get the mouseover thread preview where you can get a portion of the first post of a thread in an alt-tag just by moving the cursor over the topic. i know vBulletin supports this feature.

thansk for the suggestion about the weather thingie, i never thought about it as being the culprit to the index loading slow, but it probably is!

i need to talk to the head admin.

 

It isn't very exact either, I live in Georgia but it shows the weather for NEW YORK. That doesn't help me at all, don't really look at it though.
