Default Manditory Newbie Forum!

Im a newbie speaking out for some of the other newbies here. Although I have been to forums like this before giving me no exucse to ask questions that veteran members here deem "stupid" and not search ahead of time before asking. Others unlike myself that have not been to forums like this before are getting flamed hardcore for simple mistakes most of you have made before.
I think if the veterans are so pist then they or the moderator should make a manditory pre-forum for new members that must be read and checked off. Then a great website like this wont have people flaming each other on every other post. Just my .02 not pissed just getting annoying watching members mistreat newbies who are adding hits to this site daily.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not a newbie any more, but I was last September/October when I ordered my Z and first came here.

I don't see a lot of people being mistreated here. If they are, usually a more experienced member takes up for them or a moderator warns them. Probably the biggest thing that will get people annoyed is to (1) ask a question that has been asked several times before or (2) ask a question that you should be researching elsewhere.

For #1, I don't think it's too much to ask for a newbie to lurk for a while to see what this forum's all about. The search function works really well. This way, if you were interested in, say, what gas mileage everyone is getting, you would easily find out that your question has already been answered.

For #2, if you wanted to know how much a Z costs and what the various models are, for example, the www.nissanusa.com website is where you should go - not here.

Anyway, thanks for posting and good luck to you!
WayneTN (p.s. - I'm not a moderator or anyone important)
