Custom avatar???

How do I upload a custom Avatar? The only option I see is to use the "pre-defined" ones. Am I not seeing something here?

Wow! After reading through some of these threads for the past few hours, people around here seem a little uptight. Perhaps I should create a new account, and next time watch my step. I thought it was a legitimate question?
