We haven't used the Rep system for years (since before most of you joined) and we're probably not going to change that now.
The points changed because I updated the weights after seeing ridiculous amount of points for certain people. Since the last change I made, I lost about 20,000 points; others have lost well into 6 digits.
Sorry, I meant that the turning on the plug-in was always a possibility, but we just never used it (ex. buzzardmountain has 19 pts, dikspiel has 15 pts, etc.. so it's there and it apparently calculates points somehow even without others rep'ing you)

Every time someone gives you rep you get a number of points equal to their rep power. Your rep power increases as you post more, the longer you've been a member and inline with your own rep points.

Basically when a well reputed person give you reps your "rep points" received are based on how reputed they are and your "rep power" grows over time and posts.
There are so many prefabbed mods for vbulletin it's not even funny. There is some way way cooler stuff out there than this and reps. IB Adrian needs to get with the program. No pun intended. Actually, that was a methodically planned pun and I hope you all enjoyed it.
