I like the den idea a lot....especially with how vast this site is for just being a car forum! Adding a secret society on top of the premier member would not allow for anyone to move on from this site socially lmao
Plus if a post count requirement is needed would stop noobs from faking their way into information many hold somewhat private form anyone ole joe!
Really like the idea...
Would be kinda difficult to figure out the bar...
4k post and 2+ years
2k post and 5+ years
Premier membership 2k post and if below 2 + years pay another fee for entrance ???
If your not activate in the club are you toss back out to reality ?
Funny things to think about

I say true OGs only (join date of 2002 or 2003 with no minimums on post count).
Honestly, if this idea does get approved, I might be able to do it by profile/user points or levels in addition to post counts and join dates. I'll have to look into that later.

yeah, post counts and join dates might not be the best test.

Why not just hijack the Puerto Rico thread or something like that? No one goes there.
The CoD-4 thread is essentially a private room that only about 5 people post in. I remember going in there and asking about the video game somewhere near Page 1000 and it didn't go well. I think a mod (of all people) put up a picture for me that said "Shut the *** up, kunt!" or something super classy and non-elitist, like that. I figured who cares, if they want their own little room to compare wiener sizes away from the public eye, I'm not interested.

This thread contains some of the finer minds, so it’s shocking to me how they could all misunderstand the workings and economics of an Internet forum. The owners of this forum provide us with a warm and cozy place to hang out 24/7, and we provide the content.
If you hide away the most knowledgeable, articulate and witty members in a concealed section, the general forum content will suffer, traffic count will drop, advertisers will flee and the forum will die.
Think of a slow day on the forum, the cool kids are in their darkened den doing whatever beastly things they do there. The keys to the greater forum are thrown to the lesser klutzs like me and told to hold down the fort. Think of what a disaster that’ll be. The noobs won’t be properly insulted, people just asking general questions won’t be berated to use the search function, queries regarding affairs of the heart will get thoughtful responses instead of the forum standard “Yo dump that b!tch bro”.
Even though the Girly-Girls and Nicey-Nice guys will try their best, (without the guidance of the seasoned old-timers) things will go horribly astray. I suggest you rethink this idea.

+1 on the first 2 paragraphs.
I understand what you're saying and some of it has merit up to a certain point. However, you have to remember that the internet is not limited by physical qualities. That is, you can be in multiple "rooms" having multiple conversations with multiple people at the same time -- thus no worries on the "cool guys" hanging out in a separate section away from others. It just means they have another place where they can chill without being bothered by the "noobs."
Plus, even if that's the case, less flaming is better. We already have problems with lots of members picking on noobs. By having the "cool kids" be more occupied with their own section, maybe there will be less interactions with the newer members and thus less unnecessary conflicts. Keep in mind that a lot of the "cool guys" currently are not at all tech savvy or even spend time in the tech sections anyway, so it's not like they were that much help to others to begin with -- no offense but I speak the truth.
