i second this.... the whole "thanks" thing is pointless, people just click on it to click on it..... serves no real purpose

It's cute, like you can see who reads your chit. But in the end, you already know based on replies and such.

Point is, I know who posts and how often. In a few cases, I even know what time to expect them here.
The ''like'' button keeps you from quoting graphics-heavy posts, and props someone.

the % thing is more useful. lets you know if a seller is active in the forum or if you want to bump an old thread you'll know the likelihood of someone responding.
