Default Exhaust smoke

Hello I have a question, my 350z 04 has been releasing a lot of smoke from the exhaust and was wondering if anyone know what causes this.

Butt seriously...

Trying to even "armchair diagnose" without details is next to useless.

- Color of smoke?
- How much and when? Idling, driving? All speeds?
- Engine hot/cold?
- Ambient temp?
- Mileage on car?
- Smell?
- Any recent work done?

Seriously, though. Where do you mount the machine guns?

Smoke in exhaust... I think it's due to combustion unless OP got one of those EV Z's.

The color of the smoke is grey, when I turn it on of course smoke come out but a slight rev release a lot of grey smoke. Can not really notice allot of smoke coming out when driving. always warm up engine no matter where I take it. It has 140k miles on the car ,smell like gas and no recent work has been done on is as I just bought it.

Most likely a blown head gasket, coolant is seeping into your cylinders when the car sits for a while and then gets burned out during warmup period. This is why it's really noticeable at cold startup but not so obvious when cruising. Get a head gasket chemical test kit, follow the instructions on the packaging, this will give you a quick YES or NO answer to if your engine needs new head gaskets.

If the test shows positive (YES, blown), then you have a tough decision to make.
1) Pay a shop to replace gaskets (huge job, very costly).
2) Replace entire engine and gamble on a used longblock (cheaper in terms of labor).
3) Ditch the car and take the financial hit (hope you didn't pay much for it).

Good Luck!
