wow, those pictures are awesome. i especially like the last two. your friend definitely has a lot of talent and should have no problem being successful in the photography field.

are these pictures just how they were taken, or are they digitally enhanced in any way? and do you know what type of camera he was using?

for the last two, could you ask him what settings he used? i'm still intrigued as to how to take those type of pictures, i know it obviously has to be slow shutter, just wondering how slow and how he managed to keep the car so sharp in the picture, etc.

if you don't mind, of course....

The images were just cropped and color/contrast/sharpness..etc...were adjusted with Photoshop. He didn't add any or subtract visual elements from the photos...at least to my knowledge.

Just normal slow exposure settings. I dont know the exact F stop and shutter speed. You need ot use a very small aperature to get everything in focus. The camera was mounted directly to the car. That way..the car is sharp and in focus, and the background is blurred by the slow shutter speed. The car was going just a few MPH for this photos.

I think these are the best pics I have seen of my car...very creative.

Maybe his first national exposure could be in Sport Z Magazine. If he's interested we should talk. publisher@sportzmagazine.com

uh-oh... Bob's recruiting in NC again! So does this mean I have a photographer to travel with me for east coast articles?

very cool pics, Sharif! You should start a thread in the Gallery section with some more! I may need to talk to your friend in the spring about some Brickyard shots.

Yup, I am sure he would be interested in helping you capture your car, in all the glory it deserves. We'll talk more on Sunday at the meet, and I can give you his contact info.

Andy if everything falls in place --- Absolutely. We'll be battin' this around as we get closer to spring. I really like your ideas (your emails) and I'm anxious to see where this goes.

FI shootout and more is in the works.

The Winter 2004/2005 issue of Sport Z went out in the mail earlier this week. Make a hole Santa traffic, we're coming through.
