Question How much timing are you taking out?

For all the people with a twin turbo set up running 7psi and up. How much ignition timing are you taking out using the e-manage or other piggyback system and at what RPM/Boost

I just want to know if I’m taking too much ignition timing.

Thanks,

Az

i was running 8.5 psi and pulling 5 degrees at the top (sorry i dont know what rpm/voltage i started pulling)
this is my qurstion as well....on a built motor, running roughly 15-18psi... putting out roughly 500-550rwhp...how much timing should be pulled???-i know the lower CR calls for less timing pulled compared to the stock setup....any ideas???

I am taking out 1/2 a degree per pound of boost.

On lower CR and timing, I guess Phunk could answer that but I will also check with others and see if they have an answer for us.

That means you are only taken out about 4 degrees running 7psi at redline. I'm taken 8 degrees at 7psi / redline... humm .. then I'm way off

So when do you start taken timing out? at 3000 rpm's? and what octane do you use?

Down here we have 93 octane.

Thank you,

Az

I have to revisit the settings, I just remember the boost based retard at 1/2 degree per pound but can't remember the RPM based retard settings.

I use 93 octane.
