Default Level 10 Transmission Upgrade AT’s

I know not many of you run AT transmissions like me but for those that do I thought I would post the following.

I have been very happy with my AT for some time but had noticed a few things I wished to improve.

1. Around 3200 RPM’s I would notice a slight surge of the transmission.
2. From time to time the shifting at redline was sluggish.

After researching the Transmissions Valve upgrades available I decided to go with Level 10. I dropped my car off at Grubbs Infiniti and they sent the unit in for upgrade (2 days). One thing I found very interesting was they will take your dyno sheet and adjust the valve upgrade accordingly. They say they can use it to fine tune for your cars needs. Well today I picked the car up and all I have to say is holy crap..

1. No more slippage around 3200 rpm’s
2.MUCH faster shifting in all gears, especially at redline, easily chirping 1,2,3rd

“I might even venture to say it shifts as fast as my friends G35c SC MT under WOT”

This thing now shifts like I want in all gears perfectly. If you have F1 installed on an AT I highly recommend this upgrade.

Estimated cost was around $ 800

You should be dropping your 1/4 mile times down a few more 10th's . Did you do the Trq. coverter also ? The valve body wasnt out when I did my Trq conv. Going to be a while till I drop that tranny again...but its on my list...good to hear...enjoy

I would think you are correct on the 1/4 mile times, pehaps a bit lower. I did not do the tq converter yet. Perhaps in the near future..

Thanks for the "post"! I have been talking to Level 10 about their Valve Body and Edge about their Torque Converter. Level 10 currently has VB's available for immediate shipment with a core charge. Inorder to limit time "Z" is in the shop, trying to time ordering VB and sending TC to Edge for upgrade. A good after Christmas present to myself!

Yes! www.edgeracingconverters.com Giving them some serious consideration. They recommended the "Mild Street Edge" They want advance notice prior to me shipping. Turn around time is 1-3 working days.

I have used level ten a couple times now on other cars and have loved there work. Other people bash them and say crap about them, but I think it is just manual guys trying to keep us from keeping up (Just kidding). There stuff is proven, I knocked off a second using there vb and tq converter on my turbo auto civic.

Using Level 10 for both could happen. Sent them an e-mail asking about "GB"! Have not gotten a response. If they would respond with a GOOD price on both and not ask some rediculous number to sign up would pursue with a thread.

Does anyone have experience mixing VB and TQ (i.e. Edge TQ with Level10 or Stillen VB)? Edge said there is NO problem. Have heard some good things about Edge Racing Converters.
