Default vortech install

Do I need a right angle drill? Can it be installed without one? If so, anyone know where I could buy one? Stores?

we used a right angle drill adapter, I think it was bought at home depot. Cost $39 and plugs into your standard drill.

You are going to use that Dewalt drill only once. Save the box and all the packing material. Keep it VERY clean before and after, then return.

Didn't check that thread for "tips", but make sure you get a NPT thread tap for the drain plug. Got mine at NAPA. Also, got the crimp pliers at NAPA.

The instructions are good! Take it slow and don't jump around within the instruction manual. I checked things off as I progressed. Welcome to the "FI Club" !

Oh MAN! It makes me sick reading bum advice like this.

I've worked in the hardware business for 29 years, both retail and wholesale. It didn't take me that long to know the difference between right and wrong. If you would rather use the right angle adapter, take the right angle drill back now, and simply exchange it. If you decide to use the right angle drill, keep it.

We're all on the honor system, so do the right thing.

Thank you.

Even tho I never worked in retail I totally agree.
Unethical behavior is not "great minds thinking alike" it just reflects poorly on who you are as a human being.

Especially considering that no one who is putting a SuperCharger (($$!) on a newer Sports car, they own (!), is hurting for money..

Unbelievable!

Fred..

I used a regular Makita cordless drill and I got hole very close to where the instructions pictured it.

Concentrate on the Vortech install first. Do not get side tracked.

Many guys have had this problem . Your Aux. fuel pump isnt coming on for some reason . I take it is a new kit and you havent gone into the SS box with a laptop yet , So I dont think it would be the Aux, fuel pump start settings . So your left with... [1 ] fuel pump isnt wired right......[2] Inline fuze is bad.....[3] vacuum line to FMU fell off or has a leak.....[4] either the aux. pump or FMU is defective.
It unlikely that 3 or 4 are your problem . My guess would be your wiring or fuze .
Good luck......hope you find the problem today so you can have some fun . DONT have fun till you fix the problem

Had this problem, but mine was at 4500 rpm. Took forever to find, but once found felt real "stupid". I am not saying this is it, but I would look here first.

The AUX Fuel Pump has two (2) wires. One (1) power and the other ground. Hard to see while laying under the car, but under that rubber cap they are marked + and -. Start there! It might be a simple as reversing the wires.

Fixed it!!!! All is well and I can now officially say that I have been blown. Good power with no tuning out of the box. Getting on the dyno next weekend and will be tuning. The problem was that we forgot to hook up the power wire for the split second box so aux pump wouldn't come on.
