I have noticed lately that we have lost a few members who have decided to give up on their FI projects and sell their cars. Most recently 12secz and spazpilot. Any others thinking of getting out???

This "hobby" can be exhausting and if you spend too much time with it, like most anything else, you will get burnt out. Finding the nice balance between what you like the car to do w/o the project becomming a headache should be the goal.

i was building one of the craziest toyota mr2 street cars ever... i parted out that project with the engine setup done and the car 50% complete. i realized that chassis wasnt suitable for the power i was going to make in a realistic way and that the car would not be competitive.
while still playing with my 350z on stock engine i built myself a civic that i ran 416fwhp on 93 octane (2300lb car, full boost by 4500RPM and redline at 9000rpm) and i parted it out before even trying race gas and high boost. once again i found myself with a chassis not realistically suitable for the power.
with the 350z, we have a chassis that has the potential of holding 1000whp as realistically as a 2 wheel drive car will do it. if you want a crazy ****in fast car, there is no good reason to back out of the 350z as the selection... no matter what car you build it will cost the same to make those kind of power levels and this chassis is as good as any RWDer for its potential in maintaining its sanity with high HP. the engine displacement itself makes it much easier to make big power and still have a usable powerband.
