Vortech install problem
Ok the car start. fuel pressure is at 50 psi. Doesn't seem to be leaking anywhere, cheaked all the vacume lines. The idle is a little bit up and down. When I rev it, it will go up to around 2500-3000 then thats it...it find of start spittering. Does anyone know what the problem could be? would it be something with the ECU hookup?

Be sure to check your connections to the auxilliary fuel pump. If the polarity is reversed, it won't turn on and you won't get fuel pressure above 52 (stock). This is, apparently, a common problem with new installations.
Definitely recheck all your ECU connections if that isn't the problem. It's very easy to screw this up, even with simply a bad solder joint.

I bought mine from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It took them 4 weeks to get it to me. But if you look on Vortech's web site RSM is one of their main distributers. Maybe thats why it came quick.
Anyways with the problem. I checked everything 3 TIME!!! now
I rewired the harness back to stock to see if the patch harness was the problem. When I put it back to stock the car runs fine. Then I wired the SS box back in and same problem
. I'm gonna have to call them I guess. I was looking at the SS box and saw that it say "2004 350 040128 PROD RLS" My 350Z is a year 2003. Do you think this box was made for a 2004 and would this be where the problem is coming from??????

There is only one way to connect the TB. One side has a coupling that is connected to the side with the TB, and the other has 4 bolts that is connected to the side that run to the cooler. Plus when I put the ECU back to stock the car runs prefect.
Thank you

Trying to help may not affect you:
Do the Kinetix Resonated test pipes have anything in them? Sounds like they don't since they are test pipes.
Anyway my RT cats collapsed with my vortech after I had it tuned. Leading up to the full collapse the idle was bad and the car would bog down over 3,000 RPM.
BTW I have the patch harness as well and did not have your problems after install.

The late 04's and beyond have a wideband o2 sensor but haven't heard anyone mention a problem with these models..

I'm going to call Vortech in a few hours and see what they have to say.
Well go over all your directions for the wiring. Check everything twice! You might also check your fuel connects. I had mine mixed up. I took the car out and it would fall on its face @ 3k rpm. I switched the two lines and the car ran GREAT!

What are you using for the wiring diagram? Are you using the Vortech manual or did you use the Nissan service manual that specifically matches your car's model year? The pinouts on the 2003 versus 2004 are NOT THE SAME.

I used the Vortech manual, Harness manual, and the 2003 350Z service manual to check and mark sure they are all showing the same thing.
These are the pins (terminals) I used.
109 Ignition switch (power)
115 ECM ground
51 Mass air flow sensor
13 Crankshaft position sensor
33 Camshaft position sensor No.1
14 Camshaft position sensor No.2
