Hey there's no rush, and if we can find another ten people this could still happen... just may take some time. Spread the word! And bear in mind APS may have something that would work for Vortech owners with their tall-plenum replacement strut bar coming out.

Very Slight Hood Contact - way less then what the Crawford bar produced. The pulleys are a good 1-2 inches away from the bar.

I think I'm just going to get a new intake manifold and use the stock strut. Seems like a better solution, more air flow and no troubles with rubbing anything.

Not to disuade you, but even the stock bar had little rubber stops to prevent rubbing. Also, you can't compare in terms of rigidity with the stock bar - it's pretty lame. I think Cusco, Greddy, JIC make some pretty serious strut bars for the Z....way better than stock.

Yup I understand that the stock one is not the best solution out there, and one of the alternatives you listed would be a much better choice. I was just refering to a bar that's stock or stock-type that would work with one of the recently released intake manifolds.
