As everyone knows I was robbed on ebay for 4000.00 for a set of GReddy Twins. My credit card company gave back the money. So I decided to buy the kit from a sponsor of this website. That was on 4-13-05 and I have finally dropped the car off at a local performance shop with all the boxes(been very busy). The car is almost complete but then I get a call from the shop stating that my intercooler was f**ked up during shipping. They said when they removed the cardboard from around the intercooler it was bent up and scratched. The local shop stated that there is nothing I can do except call the distributer that I bought the twins from and see if he will do an even trade. I called the distributer and left a message since he is closed on weekends. Does anyone know what I should do?
Seems like you're taking the appropriate steps. I just hope you bought it from an authorized Greddy dealer. If not, you could be delayed by weeks since the product has to back track the distribution channel. Hopefully you haven't sat on the product too long or the distributor may point the finger at you. Was there any visible damage to the container (shipping box)?

Generally, if a package is damaged, or an item is missing there are a couple of things you can do.
In my business, I ask my customer to do things...especially when buying very high ticket items.
1) Immediately inventory every single part in the box, to insure everything is accounted for.
2) If any missing parts are discovered, they should notify me right away...not 30 days later...so I can contact my supplier and get replacement parts dispatched.
3) If there is any physical damage to the box, I ask them to take several digital photos before opening the box.
In your case, your best bet is to contact the retailer you purchased it from, and advise them of the damage. They can hopefully file a claim with the carrier.

Thanks for the advise. I have had the turbo kit sitting around the house for 2 months prior to the attempt of install. I hope that my distributor can help me out. The local shop stated that the shipping company will not do anything for me because I waited too long before checking the boxes. We'll see this monday. Wish me luck. Thanks
