Not enough that you will notice. I should have the cat down pipe in my grubby little hands this week. I'm going to roll it for the sniffer and try to get some number both with and without cat..

No you should not. Like I said I'm going to put the cat pipe on my car and hit the emissions rollers and see how well it does...

I'm running the stock plugs and Turbonetics says thats what they would use. Going one step colder should help prevent detonation but I don't get any now and I'm running mine hard on 91.

If one buys the non-cat version. Do we just use the OEM Z cat or it runs w/o one at all? Also, since I already have a TS flash. Is it still OK to send back to Turbonetics for another flash? Will my rev limit stay at 7100?

You wont use the stock cats, you would only have 1 cat in the dowpipe of the kit. Yes its ok to reflash your ecu, I have an n/a flash now, when I receive my kit Ill be reflashing my ecu to Turbonetics specs. There has been some talk of the VQ's rod bolts being strong enough to support 7100 rpm's over time. Ive had my flash for months with a lot of 7000 rpm use, with no issues, but I would advise to not keep your high redline with all the extra power, you wont need it.

The Turbonetics flash will overwrite the one you have now. The redline is moved back to stock limit. Turbonetics tested this and found that there was no gain in bumping it. It just causes further chances of engine failure.

I had the GReddy EVO2 modified to work with the kit. Basically, they just cut everything from the resonator (single-pipe section) forward off and welded a flange on to mate up with the downpipe. Works good, sounds good.

Hey thanks for the reply on my previous question.

I was wondering how intensive is the install for a good mechanic that has never done this particular kit? Cause I live in WY and I am sure I will have to go to Colorado for the install, but I know this guy in town that is in the Milatary that works in the Mechanics shop. He said hes capable but I was wondering from your opinion is it doable for just a good mechanic?

Thanks,
Ruben
