The prelim instructions are on AAMs webpage. But there are steps not in there that are in the final version. Did you not get them with your kit?

Ohh I just want to see if it's hard to install or not and if they have an ecu piggy back or what so ever to do with the ecu. I plan to buy it but not in like a 2 weeks or so. What is AAM? sorry just started this internet thing.

AAM is a company that sells the kit..here is a link to the instructions: http://www.alteredatmosphere.com/pic...oneticspdf.pdf

There is no piggyback it uses a ECU reflash to do fuel management.

What do you mean by ECU reflash? Do i have to send it to the company that does it and they reprogram my ecu or somthing?

Yes a Fedex pre-paid overnight shipping box is included with the kit. You overnight to Turbonetics. They flash it and overnight it back to you.

The e.c.u. will be back before or at the same time you are finishing up. Unless of course you start on a Saturday or Sunday.

Is the exhaust piping around the tranny heat coated at all? If not would it help to have it coated?
Also regarding the technosquare reflash, will that ecu after reflash work in the car without the Tnetics kit installed (like to drive to my shop)? Do you know if they will they do Sat. delivery ?

I dont think you will be able to drive it after the reflash with no turbo. I could be wrong but if I remember correctly I think the directions even say that.

And no the pipe is not heat coated but it wouldnt be a bad idea to by some heat tape and wrap it. I think I may do that as extra insurance.

You could certainly coat it. Or header wrap it. It shouldn't hurt anything if you dont. With the reflash...eh....not sure. I wouldn't. Because its designed to scale for the 380cc injectors it would probably be a bad idea. And yeah Turbonetics explcitely states not too so I wouldn't risk it.

Hmm so how do you "tune" the flash? Like how do you get them to make a specific program for my Z? I want to make sure the A/F ratio is spot on.

That would probably require some back-n-forth with T-netics. I know the Speed Dreams guys in NM actually worked with TS to create a special tune to deal with the altitude. In theory though, the a/f should be dead on since all of the sensors are in place to allow the ECU to adjust as needed based on the maps.
